Domiciliary Care Service Research

How does being in receipt of care affect an older person’s sense of self and how they are seen by others?
How do care practices promote dignity and autonomy?
How does being in receipt of care affect quality of life and well-being?
Sue Hughes is a Doctoral researcher at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge/Essex interested in how domiciliary care interacts with an older person’s sense of self, and how home care practices promote feelings of dignity, self-esteem, autonomy and impact on quality of life and well-being. Sue is interested in speaking to older people (age 65+) who receive care in their own homes. Read more on the Consultation & Research page of the Future East site.
