Who we are
Wising up to older lives in East of England
Membership of Future East is open to individuals and organisations who share a concern for demographic change and its impact on older people. We aim to make the membership representative of older people across the whole of the region and to involve people from organisations with a particular emphasis on the older generation. It is a registered charity governed by a constitution and each member is entitled to a vote at its Annual General Meeting and to participate in the open meetings held around the region.
The direction of Future East is vested in its management committee whose members are the trustees of the charity elected by the membership at an Annual General Meeting or co-opted by the committee between AGMs. The members of the management committee are:
- Gerry Calder Chair (Thurrock)
- Fiona Rolfe Deputy Chair (Stevenage)
- Michael Bond Treasurer (Age Concern East)
- Ron Douglas (National Pensioners Convention)
- Mary Russell (North Norfolk)
Honorary Members are past chairs of Future East:
- Pauline Weinstein (Norwich)
- Peter Coleing (Essex)
